TAURINE WEB SITES Bullfights.org is maintained by CTCV member, Gerry Campos. It is a great site for current schedules and reviews for Tijuana and Mexicali bull fights as well as general information about current activities in the taurine world. Gerry also offers the "store" where you can buy on-line a variety of items, including his videos of recent bullfights, that may be of value to aficionados. (This site is now static but still has good information) Rancho Cordoso is a link to the world of California's bloodless bullfights .This site is about bloodless bullfights and about their bullfighting horses. We have videos of past and current events that our horses are in. We also have pages of the forcados, bands, ganadarias, matadors, etc. Mundo Taurino is THE web site for bull fight information in the English speaking world. This site, maintained by Stanley Conrad, should be "bookmarked" by anyone who really wants to stay informed. There is a related chat group that aficionados can join and stay connected with others from around the world. Former matador, Mario Carrion, provides My Bullfighting World. This is a good source for a wide range of information on the taurine world. Here is a site with great art and photos : For those of you who are really interested in understanding the bull fight there is no substitute for trying it yourself. California Academy of Tauromaquia, run by Coleman Cooney of San Diego, offers hands on training for those aspiring to become "practicing amateurs (aficionados practicos). The Club Taurino of London is a good reference source with emphasis on bullfights in Spain. Membership information for the London club is provided at the web site. Los Aficionados de Los Angeles is our "neighbor" club and is the oldest bull fight club in the USA. Check out MBC TV NEWS for some information on plazas in Mexico. The web master is Jack Moran, former president of CTCV. El Callejón in Chicago, ILL, a fellow member of the National Association of Taurine Clubs of America (NATC), is primarily a Spanish language club although the members are bilingual and membership is open to all. Many El Callejón members are active participants in amateur events (aficionados prácticos). Lots of interesting taurine related stuff in the Circle of Sand web site
