"KAY DAY" BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Sept 24, 2005

Our members celebrated a special evening at the Chula Vista home of our gracious hosts, Sandy and Mark Scheller.

This was our second annual "Kay Day";  a celebration of the life of Kay Scott who would have been 90 on August 24th.

They came from Oregon and, Nevada and Arizona to remember the wonder,  Kay Scott.  Next to some of her ashes, rested a martini and Mexican chips.  As the sun was setting, folks gathered to celebrate and be together once again.  New friends were made while catching up from last year with old ones.  Max Scheller was in fine form bartending and making sure that everyone was in a good spirit.  "I actually felt Kay and had this feeling she was really happy to know that she was remembered."
A special treat was the guitar playing and singing by Miguelangel Rodriguez Pereda, an immigration attorney from Tijuana and Vladimir Vorotchaev, a portrait artist in Chula Vista.  www.vortart.com
Money was raised from donations by Pepe Romero, glass art of a bullfighter,  a vintage poster, a vintage t shirt, even a Spanish restaurant in Las Vegas donated a certificate for food.
We hope to see you next year for Kay Day
